Bio
I am a PhD student at the university of Nottingham, based in the Centre for Mathematical Medicine and Biology (CMMB). My research focuses on using mathematical modelling, bioinformatics, data science and machine learning to better understand cancer and improve treatment outcomes.
News and updates
- August 2026 – I will be joining Cedars-Sinai as a postdoctoral research scientist in Kristin Swanson’s lab, Mathematical Oncology Systems Analysis Imaging Center (MOSAIC).
- March 2026 – I won first place in the annual Smith Institute TakeAIM competition, with my entry Mathematical Modelling of Glioblastoma: Stem cell Dynamics, Therapy and Digital Twins.
- June 2025 – I organized a mini-symposium on “Mathematical modelling in cancer” at BMC-BAMC 2025 in Exeter.
- June 2025 – I received travel funding and took part in the SIAM Graduate Student Mathematical Modelling Camp (GSMMC), and Mathematical Problems in Industry (MPI) workshop, hosted at Cal Poly Pomona and Claremont Graduate University respectively.
- May 2025 – I gave a talk for the Alan Turing Institute’s Pint of science event. Pint of science is an annual event that brings academic research to the general public by giving accessible talks in a friendly pub setting! A video of the talk is available on the Alan Turing Institute’s YouTube channel: Learning to adapt: beating prostate cancer at its own game with Nick Harbour.
- January 2025 – I will be taking part in the Alan Turing PhD enrichment scheme, this is a 6 months placement where I will be based (part time) at the Alan Turing institute in the British Library, London, UK. You can see my profile here
- July 2024 – I received a Landahl travel scholarship to attend and give a contributed talk at SMB/KSMB annual meeting at Konkuk University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. See my presentation slides here
- June 2024 – I present the University of Nottingham Center for Mathematical Medicine and Biology (CMMB) entry in the datathon hosted by University of Exeter: Quantifying heterogeneity and variability in human daily rhythms. We won a amazon gift voucher prize for the category “Best negative result”. Many thanks to all my team mates: Oliver Cattell, Aaron Pache, Markus Owen, Simon Preston and Yordan Raykov!
